I believe the success and happiness of any country is ultimately dependent on its national character, which consists of the character of its people. There must be more people of honesty and integrity than not, more compassion than hostility, more of a work ethic than an entitlement mentality, and a willingness to use individual freedoms for the good of all rather than having those individual freedoms devolve into selfishness.

If these thing don't exist, a country will not survive and freedoms will be lost.
