I believe the fact that she has won so many gold medals in the past shows she's a hero. I applaud her for knowing her limits and placing the team first. People are so judgmental. It must be really difficult to perform, especially this year without people in the stands cheering you on and without being able to travel with a support group. She stepped back, and another competitor had an opportunity to step up and win the gold.
