I believe in Jesus, but think he is a personal spiritual relationship rather than a religion. He said, "In my house there are many mansions." That means to me that there is plenty of room for a diversity of viewpoints.
He also said, "God looks on the heart, whereas people look on the outside." That, to me, means that what Jesus wants is a loving and kind heart rather than adherance to particular doctrines or creeds.
But on another note, in reading articles on Medium, it seems to me that many atheists (I'm not talking about you here), but many others are a lot more critical and unaccepting of Christians than Christians are toward atheists. This I don't understand, because I thought atheists were supposed to be broader minded than Christians. Anyway, food for thought.
