I agree the tax system is unfair. But it's the government that makes the rules and allows the loopholes. The top 1 percent in the United States currently pays 42.3 percent of the total income tax while receiving 22.2 percent of total adjusted gross income. Our U.S. government spent $3.21 trillion last year, which doesn't seem to satisfy the insatiable appetite to spend more. Taxes need to be fair and equitable, but let's don't stop with the billionaires. Let's start taxing our millionaire politicians more, too.
