Great read, I loved your personal approach. I can't imagine being in Florida without a car. In our big, sprawling country, it would be really hard to get around outside of a big city envirionment. When I lived in Chicago, I took the bus everywhere, but once I moved South, things were too far apart. However, there are a lot of walkable developments being built these days, with restaurants, stores and green spaces close to housing. However, these areas are usually super expensive.
