Great read! We had the “trap door” that our kids always crashed through when they leaned too far until they were balanced on two chair legs, their chairs toppled over backwards and they disappeared momentarily from the dinner table. Now they are grown and my daughter makes her children sit through an entire meal, conversing with grownups long after the food is gone. My son, on the other hand, allows his kids to wander all over, dragging pizza and Cherrios with them. But it’s all good. Everybody manages.
