Great piece! It reminds of something I used to do years ago. I developed a habit of praying out loud to keep my darting mind from wandering too much. Occasionally I would drive to a grocery store, a mall, or a church meeting, and feel the urge to talk with God before going in.

But talking out loud alone in my car seemed a bit crazy to people passing by, so I developed a habit of picking up my cell phone and praying into it as if someone were on the other end. I called these my phone conversations with God.
