Great essay, Rebecca. I grew up in the era of nuclear bombs and the cold war, too, and I hate to see evil power hungry maniacs like Putin holding the trigger to such a devastating weapon. Seems we are bent on destroying our beautiful planet, this jewel of a gift we call home. It's always power hungry men, warriors, isn't it?
