Great article Shannon! I agree totally. I’ve seen a lot of changes on Medium, and they’re always tweaking things to keep it fresh and try to make a profit. I think it’s thrilling and wonderful that you’ve done so well and are able to support your daughter. You’ve worked hard for it.

I enjoy the platform as a way to express myself, practice my writing, communicate with a writing community, support other writers, and it’s been a wonderful arena for trying different writing styles.
