Great article. When children get busy with families of their own, that becomes the priority and not their own parents. However, a good relationship can still exist. The relationship dynamics are always changing, but if we remain flexible, loving and understanding, chances are high the relationship will remain good. There are exceptions when it's a jealous mother in law or daighter in law who hates that their son or husband also loves someone else. I've seen this play out a lot of times, too.
