Great article. I had an older dad, 42 when he married my mom. I don't think age matters much to kids. They'll find some reason to criticize their parents at some point. And as far as not having them around longer? You just never know. My poor daughter-in-law's mother died at only 54, when my DIL was a young 19-year-old.
