Great article. I don't believe I've ever asked my doctors any of those questions. I enjoy reading medical articles, and it's great to be able to hear a physician's perspectives.

On another note, I believe the abortion issue was much less of a hot button one in the past. For instance, when I discovered I was pregnant with my first child almost 45 years ago, the doctor said, "Do you want to have a baby, because we can do something about it if you don't." I assured the gynecologist that although unplanned, I wanted the baby. But a couple of my friends had had abortions.
