Good things to consider, Richard. You are tied to your caregiving responsibilities, so that makes it difficult for you to get out and pursue new activites and friendships. Different stages necessitate different priorities.

The two years I cared for my mother coincided with Covid, so we wouldn't have gone anywhere anyway and she was my priority for that time.

Now that she is gone and the pandemic has subsided, I am traveling and participating in some volunteer activities.

As for finances and legal documents, etc., my husband has compiled a book with everything outlined. We've also written our will.
