Good read, Christyl. It’s interesting, what you’ve outlined in this article as the ideal religion is exactly what Jesus taught. When I read the Gospel of John I come away realizing that Jesus promoted love, inclusion, compassion and acceptance. It’s only people who have twisted his words and his ministry. Christianity does in fact seem to be losing ground, but 2,000 years ago Jesus predicted this, going so far as to wonder if he would find persistent faith when he returned (Luke 18:8).
