Good post Sarah. I’m glad you didn’t give up. I’ve been there many times myself, but like you, I believe we should continue to focus on the process.

I’m involved in something called Stephen Ministry at our church, and the defining summary of that ministry is: We’re in charge of the process, God’s in charge of the results. We listen to people, offer them support, walk with them as friends through a situation, but ultimately we are not the ones who solve their problems or bring about a change in their situations.

With writing or any other endeavor, we can’t control how other people respond, but we can, as you so aptly put it, focus on doing our best to create something worthwhile.
