Good article, Eric. I agree with you about Confederate monuments being moved to museums or other locations. But what about other monuments, such as Lincoln, Jackson, etc? Also, your argument about recent history beng well enough recorded to be remembered might be an argument that loses validity in light of our current Holocaust deniers. Surely there's plenty of written history about it, but some people claim it never happened.
