Genetic proclivity doesn’t translate into inevitability. I agree with other writers here who say we must protect the potential victims, especially if some people have no control over their actions. Another thought…lawyers and doctors would probably find ways to bring evidence to every act of violence that would absolve the perpetrator. And what about recent evidence that points to pschytropic drugs as a factor in mass murders and suicides, especially when prescribed for young people? How many mitigating factors should we consider?
