Fortunately the internet allows us to research extensively.

I gather reams of material and only use a fraction of it, which is why it takes me a day to put together an article like this, and only an hour or two to dash off the kinds stories that get more traction and attention.

But part of the reason I write is to present a different way of thinking about a subject, so I try to intersperse the fun pieces with the researched ones.
