First, I have to get this off my chest. Your articles and other people I regularly read never come up in my feed anymore now that the pictures have vanished. I have to do a search to see what my friends have written lately.

Now for the dolls...before my mother's dementia became full blown she began carrying around a doll that was 90 years old. It had belonged to her sister, and my mother had it restored after her sister died. I thought she was just lonely, but when I look back, this behavior was out of character for my no-nonsense, pragmatic and unsentimental mother.
