Excellent essay, Ryan. When people are filled with hatred and contempt for others, it seems to be more a spiritual problem than a political one. No one political side is completely right or wrong, and the only way for the hostility and division to stop is if we the people stop it. The politicians and media benefit from it, so they're not going to stop it.
