Enjoyed the lighthearted bumper stickers. They can get pretty bizarre. As far as the gun obsession, I believe I can answer that without being a gun advocate myself. In fact, I believe the laws need to be much stricter. But a lot of Americans are frightened because the Nazis confiscated weapons before the Holocsust, as did the Chinese before the cultural revolution. It's been a fairly regular pattern, and gun advocates are afraid of an oppressive government if means of defense are removed. Which is probably kind of absurd, but there you have it.
