Different bodies need different things. I eat meaat, because my body needs the amino acids, b vitamins and protein. Other people are healthy vegans.
But one of the former writers on here was a vegan and she died of colon cancer. And I just read the story of a woman who had been a vegetarian for 22 years and now, at 40, she's in hospice for stage four bowel cancer. So you just never know.
Doctors have been trying for years to get me to take medicine for my extremely high cholesterol, but I won't. I feel my high cholesterol must be healthy for me, protecting my brain or something. My mother had extremely high cholesterol and wouldn't do anything about it either, and lived to 102. Doctors will probably change their minds about cholesterol in another few years and decide it's healthy. Who knows?
