Democrats Get By With Doing What Republicans Want to Do

And the Media gives them a pass

President Biden famously proclaimed during his campaign, “We are going to get rid of fossil fuels.”

“Biden’s energy plan goes a step further by calling for the complete elimination of fossil fuels by 2050. This comes in stark contrast with President Donald Trump’s fossil fuel agenda,” said Marshall Distel in Fossilfuel.com.

Soon after his election, Biden seemed on track to implement his environmental policies. He closed down a major pipeline extension (Keystone XL). Onerous regulations and environmental reviews led to the closing of five refineries and a pause was put on selling oil leases.

Environmentalists cheered as Biden canceled millions of acres of oil and gas lease sales.

But the tide has turned.

A war in Ukraine, skyrocketing fuel prices, and fuel shortages in countries dependent on Russian oil have relegated environmental concerns to the back burner.
