Deborah, you sound so skilled and talented with so much experience, I can’t imagine you not finding a job soon! Here’s what some of my kids did when they couldn’t find work: My daughter in law joined the army, and it paid for her to go to dental school. My son, after working at numerous sales jobs he disliked, got his real estate license, appraisal license and started his own company, which has done very well. My other son tried to start his company, worked hard at it, couldn’t get it off the ground, so he went back to school, then started putting out job resumes, tapping connections, and nothing worked. So he attended a technology boot camp, made some contacts there and landed a job. My son in law lost his job in construction and tried to make a go of it with his own company but couldn’t. Since these were lean years for the family, they started raising chickens and goats and gardening for eggs, milk and vegetables. He finally got a job as a high school teacher and worked to become certified as he taught and the farm expanded to provide most of their food. Every path will be different. Best of luck!
