But it's more preposterous for some people to believe the universe, with all the intricacy of life on earth, sprang from nothing, and that miracles, when some people have experienced them, are impossible.

Maybe miracles are only a matter of setting things right, the way things should be, or the way nature intended. For instance, suppose a person is miraculously healed, as in the case of Jesus's leper. Maybe this is the healed person's more natural state, healed and whole, and the miracle is merely a return to an intended condition, while the illness is the aberration. To a believer, the creator of nature can alter nature to return to its intended state.

Anyway, thanks for reading and responding! I like to hear other's ideas.
