Because they are under the delusion that there is a perfect utopia out there somewhere. Is our country perfect? Of course not. Nothing is. But people without a thorough understanding of history who have bought into the lies of a perfect society believe that we can somehow make Communism better than other countries have made it. We can eliminate the mistakes that Socialist countries such as Russia and Venezuela have made. That somehow, we will do all that better because our leaders or our people will somehow approach it with purer hearts and purer motives.
