At the Methodist church I attend most of the people have tatoos, some have blue or pink hair and I serve on a committee with a gay man who, with his husband, has adopted 3 kids. Nobody would think of staring at tatoos, since they are more common than not having them. We all do believe that Jesus in our life is the answer we need, though. And we also believe that Jesus was one of the first advocates of feminism, because he elevated women to a place in society that was shocking to his contemporaries: a place of equality in God’s kingdom.
