After reading this, I think you’re an extraordinary father, son and grandson. How amazing, to endure the verbal abuse and still help. And as far as the children go, I’m with you. I don’t want my children taking care of me, although I’m sure they would. I’ve raised 3 good kids. But as I take care of my 100 year old mother now, I realize i don’t want them to have to do that for me. I’m happy to be able to do this for my mother, but if it comes to that, I want my kids to leave me in the nursing home and get on with their lives.
